Breaking through body image barriers, one gold bikini at a time.
Leading plus-size swimwear retailer Swimsuitsforall is truly setting a new gold standard in size-inclusive swimsuit marketing with the release of their 2016 #SwimSexy campaign. Following up on last year’s Ashley Graham-starring #CurvesinBikinis shoot (you know, the one that created a mere global viral frenzy after appearing in the pages of the annual Sports Illustrated Swim issue), Swimsuitsforall has outdone themselves with the return of now-supermodel Ashley alongside two further curvy bombshells for this year’s campaign: 56-year old British model Nicola (Nicky) Griffin and British Ghanaian model and humanitarian Philomena Kwao.
“I hope that women take away from this campaign that you can look fantastic at any size, any shape. Healthy, happy, glowing at no matter what age you are, what size you are, just looking good, feeling good.” – Nicola Griffin, as told to Swimsuitsforall

“I would advise other women to cut out the fuzz, turn on your blinders, and really look inside at you, who you are, what you stand for and what makes you beautiful. If you have a part of your body that you like, celebrate it every day.” Philomena Kwao, as told to Swimsuitsforall

The series of stunning images featuring all three women in the brand’s Beach Babe Gold Bikini ($49.40) will be featured in the pages of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swim issue, hitting stands February 16th. Like it’s 2015 predecessor the images will appear in the form of ad space, but new this year? Ashley Graham will also appear in the issue’s coveted editorial spreads after being named an SI Swim rookie just this week – a groundbreaking announcement as the 2nd plus-size model ever to receive the honor following Robyn Lawley last year.
“Sexy to me is beyond just a feeling. Sexy to me is a look that I have, it’s an emotion, it’s about the way that I wake up when I get out of bed.” Ashley Graham, as told to Swimsuitsforall
